Parish Council Elections
November 16
The next few years are critical times for the future of Saint Spyridon. Seeking qualified, stewards in good standing as candidates to serve on the Parish Council, one of the most important leadership roles at our Cathedral. Formal letter from the Election Committee with details and deadlines, forthcoming.
CHOIR
Our church choir is seeking new members, both male and female from ages 16 and up, to enhance our Sunday liturgies. Anyone who likes to sing please join us Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. or call Bill Pappazisis at 508-870-0903 or e-mail at wjjep@verizon.net for more information.
SPECIAL EVENTS
The Special Events Committee would like to thank everyone who attended Taverna Night and making it a success.
FAMILY CENTER NEWS
On Tuesday, September 2, at a Special General Assembly the community voted on a historic milestone for our community and passed several motions to proceed with the construction of the Family Center project. The Parish Council and Building Committee thank everyone who has supported the Family Center to date. They have extended an open invitation for anyone who would like to get involved in any aspect of the project, to please attend the ongoing weekly meetings. This project is everyone's project and everyone's responsibility and for the first time in over 50 years we have an opportunity to be involved in a legacy that will become an important component of Saint Spyridon's future. It is also time for everyone to step up and make their pledge, or increase their pledge so that the construction of the Family Center is financially supported by everyone in our community.
How to make your pledge? Please complete a pledge envelope and mail it or drop it off to the church office. Or call Nick Paleologos @ 617.828.7924 or Christina Andrianopoulos @ 917.734.9804 to discuss your pledge or learn about naming right opportunities. Every donation is appreciated. For example, a $10 a week donation translates to a $520 annual donation and $1,560 pledge over three years. If everyone did this, we would have raised over $2 million in three years. Consider your pledge today!
