SEEKING PARISH COUNCIL CANDIDATES
Nominations for Parish Council are currently being accepted. If you feel you would like to take on a leadership role at the Cathedral by serving on the Parish Council or know someone who would, please submit your information and interest to the church office by Monday, October 26, 2009 at 4:00PM. To be elegible you must be a Steward in good standing (Please see Elections announcement recieved in the mail). Elections are on Sunday, November 15, 2009 directly following the Divine Liturgy and until 2:00pm.

GREEK SCHOOL PTA NEWS
The Greek School PTA Brunch will take place on Sunday, October 25th following the Divine Liturgy in the Cotsidas Auditorium. Today, following the Divine Liturgy Committee members will be taking reservations in the foyer of the Cotsidas Auditorium. Please support the Greek School PTA.

JUNIOR CHOIR
Christiana a junior member of the choir is inviting all youth between the ages of 12-16 to meet on Sunday, October 25 directly after Diving Liturgy to create a Junior Choir that will sing along with the regular choir. We hope all parents encourage their children to meet and learn how they can be part of the Junior Choir.

PHILOPTOCHOS NEWS
Pita Bake Sale will take place today following the Divine Liturgy in the foyer of the Cotsidas Auditorium. The Saint Spyridon Women’s Philoptochos Society cordially invites you to attend “An Array of Extraordinary Tables” on Sunday, November 8th, To benefit the many missions of the Philoptochos Society. Table viewing at 12:30 pm, Luncheon at 1:30 pm. Donation: $25.00


GREEK ORTHODOX METROPOLIS OF BOSTON
The Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston cordially invites you to attend a Celebration of Greek Music, a premier concert of the Boston Metropolis 70-piece Philharmonic Orchestra accompanied by the Boston Chorale Group. Penelope Bitzas, Mezzo-soprano and Associate Professor of Music in Voice at Boston University will be among the featured artists at the Benefit Concert for the ministries of the Metropolis of Boston. Little Angels Halloween Party! Come join us for a fun filled day with plenty of costumes (please, non demon like), great food, games, parade, entertainment and lots of fun for everyone! Wednesday October 21st, 10:30am - 1:00pm beneath the Chathedral.

BASKETBALL CLINIC
Basketball clinic for GIRLS and BOYS. Beginners in all brackets will learn and improve their skills. Saturday, October 24th at Becker College, Leicester Campus. Elementary School, 4th and 5th grade at 9am; Middle School, 6th-8th grade at 9am; High School 9th-12th grade at Noon. CULTURAL CENTER HRISOHORAFITON
The Cultural Center Hrisohorafiton, Alexander the Great will host a representative from the District Attourney’s office to speak to parents and children 7 years and older about online safety, criminal harassment, text messaaging, cell phone use, and how to use the internet effectively. Tuesday, Ocotber 20th, 6:15 pm at the Cultural Center, 880 Main Street, Refreshments will be served.

FAMILY CENTER NEWS
We are about to complete construction plans, which will also define our construction schedule for ground breaking early in 2010. This is your time to make your pledge to our Family Center, or increase your pledge so that you can be part of a new legacy and a 25 year dream. Our families are feeling the financial crunch. Any amount is acceptable; the important thing is to get your pledge in and your name on the Angel Board...for those who are blessed please offer a gift within your means..and ask about paying your pledge over a term period. The important thing is to GIVE NOW.

HELLENIC ARTS SOCIETY
The Hellenic Arts Society presents a program of music performed by THE ANASTASIA-TZAVARAS DUO. Sophia Anastasia on flute, and Nicholas Tzavaras on cello, with Worcester's own Sima Kustanovich on piano. November 15th at Tatnuck Country Club, Performance at 1:00 pm, followed by lunch.
