The Daughters of Penelope will be having their Annual Thanksgiving Bake Sale, to benefit their various charities, following the Divine Liturgy in the foyer of the Auditorium.
"Kids Giving to Kids" Sunday School Giving Tree
The Sunday School is collecting gifts for children through its annual giving tree. It is a nice opportunity for the children of the Sunday School, as well as the rest of the parish, to give to children truly in need. The gifts collected will be given to the students of the Hartwell Learning Center. Some of these students will not receive any other gifts than those we collect for them this Christmas.
In addition, gift cards to local supermarkets are welcome (in $10 denominations). These will be given to Fr. Dean & Fr. Greg for our church's Poor & Needy Fund and distribution at their discretion. The children of the Sunday School may feel free to offer up any small monetary donation, toward the purchase of these cards by the Sunday School program.
Please visit our tree in the Cotsidas Auditorium after liturgy on Sundays for details and to select an ornament that will truly make a difference in a child's life.
ORTHODOX LIFE SERIES
Fr. Greg will host his Orthodox Life series on Monday November 24th at 7pm.
BOOKSTORE
Don't miss out on this special purchase of unique Christmas Card Collection reduced to $ 4.00 per package of 10 cards. Original price was $12.00. Be unique ! Buy a Bible for Christmas - choice of: Combined New and Old Testamant, or New Testament only.
GREEK SCHOOL PTA
Greek School PTA will be selling their cookbooks $18.00 each, in the foyer of the Auditorium.
FAMILY CENTER NEWS
The Family Center is inviting everyone to partake in the unveiling ceremony of the Angel Thermometer today immediately following the Divine Liturgy. The Angel will grace our campus on Russell Street and show the progress of our fund raising as we prepare for ground breaking in the Spring.
Instead of Gifts for the Holidays that are discarded shortly after unwrapped, would you consider giving a gift in your family's name to our Family Center....it's a legacy that will last a lifetime.. We are asking for families to consider a pledge of $3,000 that can be paid over 3-years. This translates to $83 per month, less than most cable bills. Please complete your pledge envelope or see a Family Center Committee member to make your pledge.
Pledges to date: $2,012,213
