Sunday, December 23rd Orthros will start at 8:30 a.m. and Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. Choir will be singing Christmas Carols following Divine Liturgy.

GREEK SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENT

The Greek School Christmas Party will take place on Tuesday, December 18th from 4:00-6:15p.m. Also, the Greek School Christmas Program will take place on Thursday, December 20th at 4:00p.m.

GREEK SCHOOL PTA

Today the Greek School PTA will be having their annual Christmas bake sale following the Divine Liturgy in the foyer of the Cotsidas Auditorium.

PHILOPTOCHOS SOCIETY
Maria Stefanakos, Philoptochos member will be taking donations for our Christmas Outreach Program that provides gifts for those home bound or alone. Please look for her after Divine Liturgy to give your donation.

GRECIAN FESTIVAL 2008
Advertisement forms for the Festival Program Book are available on the table outside of the office and forms are in the office too. All Parish businesses and professionals are urged to advertise in the Program Book. Please also pass out to businesses you frequent to have them consider advertising too. The third meeting for Grecian Festival 2008 will take place Tuesday December 18th at 7:15 in the Tonna Room. All volunteers are welcome!


FAMILY CENTER NEWS
The Family Center Committee is accepting pledges from individuals or families "in honor" or "in memory of" a loved one. As the holidays approach this is a wonderful gift to give for the legacy of your family or loved one as well as be part of Saint Spyridon's history.
Pledges to date: $1,535,014

ANNOUNCEMENT
We thank Dr. Mary Lekas who pledged $250,000 to the Family Center in honor of her mother Mrs. Merciny Lekas of blessed memory. Mrs. Lekas was a devout steward who served as Philoptochos president as well as Greek School teacher for over 25 years in our community.
A heartfelt thank you also to Mrs. Irene Nickolson for her generous pledge of $50,000, which makes her total pledge to the Family Center of $100,000. The pledge is in honor of her late husband Mr. Nickolas Nickolson and will go towards the building of a new classroom. Thank you to all those who support the Family Center and have pledged to date to help realize our 50-year dream.

Holy Trinity’s Treasured Generations 2007 is its annual gift program that guarantees our elders and their families will have an Orthodox home when they need it most. Our need is great! If you have not given yet, please make your pledge by the end of this year. It's not too late! You can also make your annual donation through the United Way. Please make sure that you specify Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as your “selected agency” in the section provided on the form. Peter Leasca is spearheading an initiative to compile names of our Greek Community veterans who served in the military. If you know of a loved one who served and you would like them recognized, please complete the form that is in the church office or contact Peter at LSTWW2@aol.com. We would also like to acknowledge those who are currently enlisted. Please give their names to Peter too.
